Updating Your Application — Education

Normally you must meet all requirements at the time of application. However, if you are graduating with a post-secondary diploma or degree, that education factor is assessed at the time your file is assessed (not on the date it is submitted).

As it often takes a year or longer for your file to be assessed, you can submit your application and get in the queue before you actually graduate (so long as you are certain you will graduate before someone at CIC assesses your file).

One of many little devices lawyers always use to give their clients the advantage — now you can do it too.
