I wish to apply for Canada Skilled Worker Program 2014. I have more than 11 years of rich experience as a Software Engineer and Designer. However my graduation degree is in Mechanical Engineering. Could I qualify to apply against the NOC group --- "2173 Software engineers and designers". I am asking this as the NOC web page lists the Employment requirements for this group as
"A bachelor's degree, usually in computer science, computer systems engineering, software engineering or mathematics
Completion of a college program in computer science is usually required."

My job experience certificates say I am a Software Engineer / Systems Engineer etc.

    Thanks you

You should likely be fine. I've had clients with a "mismatched" degree and experience who were successful. The key is having employment letters that match the job description in the NOC. It would be very helpful if you can show *some* training in software engineering and design. The risk is that CIC may not consider you qualified without any training at all in software engineering.
