Canada’s Federal Investor Program Suspended

2010-07-28

There have been many changes in Canada’s immigration program this summer.

A significant one is that the Federal Investor Class immigration stream has been suspended. This stream allowed high net worth individuals with business experience to make a signficant financial investment in Canada in exchange for permanent residence.

Applications received after June 26, 2010 will not be considered for this program.

The Quebec Investor Program may still be an option for those individuals who would have qualified for the Federal program.
