Entrepreneur? Immigrate to British Columbia

A new Memorandum of Understanding between CIC and the Province of British Columbia will allow current (and future) entrepreneur category applicants access to the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) — a faster track program that speeds up processing immensely.

In fact, all current entrepreneur applicants will be contacted by mail enquiring whether they are interested in settling in British Columbia, and if so, they will be directed to the PNP. If you are currently an entrepreneur applicant, contact your lawyer (or if you are unrepresented, contact your CIC office) and get in on this fabulous new program.

I believe the future of immigration will be further deals between CIC (the federal government which has jurisdiction over immigration) and the provinces to fast-track and select immigrants that are needed in each province. In essense, this will allow those with the right combination of skills to “jump the queue” and get into Canada faster than ever before.
