Study Permit Extension Problems?

Hello, so i've been studying in Canada for four years now. However, for my studies i have changed my program last year and have entered a new one. This means that i still have 2 to 3 years left to study to finish my new program.

For that reason i'm planning on extending my study permit for a while longer. I had a few questions on this:

    1. My grades have not been very good. I have passed but i was on academic probation for a year. Will that affect my chances of having a study permit extended?

    2. Will changing programs of study affect my liklihood of getting an extension on my permit?

    3. Also, will they be able to give me an extension of two to three years? I would prefer to complete my degree sooner but the way my courses availability works, i'll have to take three years.

Thank you for your help in advance, i've been quite worried about this.

    1. Your grades won't affect your chances to extend your visa.
    2. Changing of your program is not a problem also.
3I'm not sure, but why not? I think there is no problem to give you a new study permit.
