Considering applying for permanent resident to live/work in Canada. Anyone know how long for process? I just need a time in general. Thank you.

That answer varies greatly based on whether it is just to live or to work. On the CIC website, there is a page called "Come to Canada Tool" which helps you assess what categories you best qualify under. Once you have determined that you qualify and you have completed their "Complete Application Package" as they refer to it, the CIC site gives a 61 calendar day schedule for permanent resident processing. For those in varying situations, however, I've known that it can take multiple years, so it really depends on the circumstances under which you are emigrating.
